Recognize
Notice the signs of mental and emotional distress.

Visions of Change Foundation is rooted in service, strengthened by community, and committed to helping people recognize challenges, connect with support, and move forward with hope and opportunity.
A community where every person knows the signs, knows where to turn, and has the support and opportunity to thrive.
At Visions of Change Foundation, our mission is to strengthen the mental well being of Augusta residents and the surrounding community through education, training, and community partnership. We are dedicated to fostering resilience, expanding access to mental health support and resources, and promoting holistic approaches to mental wellness. Through education, support, and advocacy, we strive to create a community where every individual can thrive emotionally, mentally, and socially.
Founder and President

Shelley Parker Mack, LPN, is a respected community leader, entrepreneur, healthcare professional, and lifelong advocate for individuals and families throughout the Central Savannah River Area.
For more than two decades, Mrs. Mack has devoted her professional life to creating safe, supportive, and compassionate environments for people who need care, opportunity, and a stronger sense of community. Her work began with the development of personal care homes throughout the Central Savannah River Area, where she built a reputation for hands on leadership, compassion, and a deep commitment to treating people with dignity.
In 2008, she founded Macksimum Alliance Home Care Service, expanding her work in community based care and support. In January 2013, Mrs. Mack continued that commitment alongside her son, Melvin Parker, III, through Mack Lander, LLC. The organization includes Lizzy's Adult Community Service Center and Macksimum Alliance Home Care Service and has provided community and residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.
Across every chapter of her career, Mrs. Mack has remained deeply connected to the people and families she serves. Her leadership is grounded in service, compassion, consistency, and the belief that every person deserves to be seen, respected, supported, and given meaningful opportunities to thrive.
Her entrepreneurial work has always been closely tied to community impact. Whether developing programs, supporting families, creating care environments, or helping individuals navigate difficult seasons, Mrs. Mack has built a reputation for showing up, following through, and leading with both heart and responsibility.
She has also been a steady champion for educational opportunity and the next generation. Through scholarships and community focused initiatives, she has helped young people see possibilities for their future and pursue opportunities that strengthen confidence, independence, and long term well being.
Visions of Change Foundation brings these commitments together in a new way. Through mental wellness education, community partnerships, resilience building, scholarships, and practical pathways to support, Mrs. Mack is extending a lifetime of service into a broader vision for Augusta and the surrounding community.
Her goal is not simply to raise awareness, but to help create communities where people know the signs, know where to turn, and have the support and opportunity to move forward.
Mrs. Mack's leadership reflects a simple but powerful commitment: serve people with compassion, strengthen families, create opportunity, and help build healthier communities for generations to come.
Visions of Change Foundation exists to close the gap between struggling and getting support. We equip students, families, educators, and neighbors to recognize when someone is hurting, respond with care, and connect to the right help. Then we invest in the resilience, leadership, and opportunity that help people move forward.
Recognize. Understand. Connect. Thrive.
Every program we offer follows the same path. We help people recognize the signs of mental and emotional distress. We help them understand what those signs mean and how to respond. We help them connect with trusted support in the community. And we help them thrive through resilience, leadership, and opportunity.
